Port Charlotte

Port Charlotte has more than 165 miles of waterways providing access to Charlotte Harbour and the Gulf of Mexico and many more miles of natural shoreline bordering Charlotte Harbour and the Peace and Myakka Rivers. It is the county's geographical centre and home to the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Charlotte County Historical Centre, a waterfront museum featuring changing glimpses into Charlotte's past.

Punta Gorda is an historic town that lies along beautiful Charlotte Harbour. Streets lined with royal palms, old Florida-era tin roofed homes with wide verandas, brick lanes and benches leave an almost tangible old Florida atmosphere. Almost everything is waterfront here, from hotels and shopping to parks and fine dining.

The Charlotte Harbor Environment Centre spans 840 acres, providing nature trails and picnic areas. The 100 acre game reserve offers hunting, fishing and camping. Swamp buggy trips through Telegraph Cypress Swamp provides plenty of adventure with views of wild turkey, alligators and more. Twenty-one golf courses, 10 public tennis courts and competitive events, including fishing tournaments and boat/yacht races, boat and jet ski rentals 25 shopping centres offering 4 million sq ft of merchandise and 16 cinema screens complete the picture.

The area northwards extending towards Englewood includes Lake Marlin where some of our homes are located.
