Tampa

The Tampa Bay Area of Florida is the largest conurbation on the West Coast with a population of approx 500,000. It is home to the world famous Busch Gardens Theme Park; an African - themed family entertainment park with more than 2,700 animals representing 320 exotic species. The 335 acre park encompasses an entertainment mecca featuring action-packed rides and world class shows for guests of all ages in addition to being one of North America's premier zoos. One of the Theme park rides, 'Montu' is the worlds tallest and longest inverted steel roller coaster. Busch Gardens was recently rated the most popular theme park in Florida among residents of the Tampa Bay area.

Lowry Park State Zoo, Adventure Island, sunken gardens, 36 acre-water theme park, miniature golf, battling cages, go karts and bumper boats, video arcade and interactive video wall, parachute school, stock car racing, Salvador-D ali museum (largest collection in the world), night clubs, comedy clubs, art galleries, golf courses, whatever you want you are sure to find it in this cosmopolitan city.

If shopping is more your scene, take your pick from world class shopping malls in and around the area.or maybe you prefer the theatre- take your pick, a sightseeing cruise perhaps, maybe a visit to Ybor city- a suburb of Tampa and historic centre of the old cigar industry, a trip around a Russian submarine, or HMS Bounty as used in the 1962 film Mutiny on The Bounty. a trip on a dinner dance boat possibly. The world really is your oyster.

The Tampa Bay area is only a 90 minute drive from Englewood/Venice and Disney World, Universal Studios and all the attractions of Orlando and only slightly further to the Space Coast. If you are seeking adventure and world class facilities a trip to Tampa Bay is a must. You will probably be exhausted at the end of the day and long to get back to your home and rest your weary feet in the pool.
